While in New Mexico to do a workshop for the GI Rights Hotline I took a trip to Chaco Canyon where I camped and hiked around the brilliantly conceived and built ancient Pueblos.  

This was an incredible experience and I am grateful to have been able to able to be there. My last night was the night before the full moon and we were allowed to stay at Pueblo Bonita for a program.  I took this photo as the sun set over a nearby ridge.

Thanks to some good help from staff at Chaco Canyon I went to Farmington.  With further assistance at Alex Benally’s Hogan I found a drum that came home with me.  I'll be able to take it to Washington next October to drum with Turtle Women Rising.
